Dual purpose
Brewing session beer has excellent results

Minstrel® is a seedling of Sovereign, dwarf and was planted in 2006 as part of the Charles Faram Hop Development Programme.
It was released commercially in 2012.

The variety has large cones, but there is risk of cone tip blight if picked late.
It can be leafy, so needs early laterals to maximise cropping volume.

Minstrel® is Wilt resistant like Target, but the rootstock is weaker and less tolerant.
It is tolerant to Downy Mildew. It is Powdery Mildew susceptible, but tolerant like Sovereign.
It can yield well on early bine
