Well Hopped Brewers Abbey Ales was founded in 1997, Abbey Ales is the first and only brewery in the historic City of Bath for over forty years, and is the initiative of experienced brewery sales and marketing manager Alan Morgan. Avon Brewing Company Ltd is built on the simple principle of making the best real ale we can. Their product range is limited to one real ale, Gurt Lush, they may brew others, if time allows and there is the demand. Butcombe Brewery's award winning handcrafted beers are brewed in the traditional way to the highest possible standards. Great Oakley Brewery was founded by Mike Evans and Phil Greenway in 2005, the Great Oakley Brewery is a five-barrel plant located in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside at Bridge Farm, Great Oakley (near Corby). Kinver Brewery Company is an award winning independent brewery serving the West Midlands since October 2004. The Brewery uses traditional floor malted Maris Otter barley and Worcestershire hops with a hint of American hops to provide an extra special aroma. Oakham Ales was founded in October 1993 by John Wood. A purpose-built 10 barrel plant was commissioned from Brewcare and installed in two units on a small industrial estate in Oakham, Rutland. Oakham continued to expand its product range and continued to win ever more awards, including, in 2001, the Supreme Champion Beer of Britain with JHB, which began to be produced in bottle in 2002. Recognising that the increasing popularity of Oakham's beers would mean that capacity at the Westgate site would eventually prove inadequate; in 2004 the partners invested in a new site in Woodston in Peterborough and set about building a new 75 barrel brewery.
At Ossett they have a very distinctive house style. Their beers are all generally; light coloured, hoppy, flavoursome and have a citrus or floral aroma. Rather than this house style being a particular philosophy of thiers is it simply driven by customer feedback and demand. St Austell Brewery has grown steadily from the initial vision of a young Cornishman called Walter Hicks in 1851 to become one of the largest private companies in Cornwall, England. Still an independent, family owned regional brewer, St Austell Brewery has become part of the fabric of the South West, with its distinctive black and gold paint work adorning its public houses, the drays which supply over 2,000 free trade customers and of course, its award winning cask beers. Established in 1996 within the city walls, York Brewery is both a working brewery and a tourist attraction, providing customers locally and around the country with the first traditionally brewed ales from within the walls of York for over 40 years. Consisting of a 20 barrel brew plant, five 20 barrel fermenters and 10 conditioning tanks. A gallery has been constructed around the brewhouse, providing an excellent viewing platform, with viewing panels into both the fermenting and coditioning rooms.
